Bohemian Glassware Bohemian glass making has a history dating back hundreds of years. The biggest contributions made by the Czech glassmakers were for example, the melting of blue cobalt glass in Northern Bohemia in the 16th century. Pure gold and platinum are still used for the decoration. It is laid on the glass in fluid state by a paintbrush and then burnt in special furnaces. Arabesque-shaped or floral motifs are carefully laid on foundation. They say it is the reflection of history, fire and devotion.
