Bohemian GlassThe Bohemian history of unique glass making dates back hundreds of years. The biggest contributions made by the Czech glass makers was the melting of blue cobalt glass in northern Bohemia during the 16th century. Pure gold and platinum are still used for the decoration and is laid on the glass in fluid state by a paint brush and then burnt in special furnaces. Arabesque-shaped or floral motifs are carefully laid on the foundation. They say it is the reflection of history, fire and devotion.
